I have many friends that do their classes much closer to where they live, and I have places closer as well, but I will be lobbying for them to come to you guys as I did - it was just really well taught and the attitude and execution is very good on everything. I have spent the evening discussing with my wife and kids (who do not have LTC but encourage me to buy more guns) the changes to recent laws and what you can do and what you can't do.

Thank you for an excellent, well-run LTC Renewal Class. My wife has never liked tests of any kind, so she was quite apprehensive. However, it was apparent you've run into that situation before, and your presentation put her at ease. Overall, we felt like we'd spent a day in the country, learned/refreshed our knowledge base, and enjoyed the company of other LTCers. The A/C and padded chairs helped, too. 🙂

It’s great having a world-class shooting school right here in Central Texas! Karl is a good instructor, and I’ve learned a lot from him -- including how to draw from concealment while keeping a constant toe count.

I've spent the last 6 months getting back into owning and shooting firearms after a 2-year period of complacency in Austin. During these six months I have attended firearms training at 4 schools in the local area, all in the effort to identify the best training curriculum and instructors in the local area. Just want you to know that KR Training is the best that I've found so far, and I'll be looking to attend other training classes with you in the future.

You and your team are running a great program…you are dispensing a great deal of usable information in a very short period of time and, doing it safely. And, that combination is not always easy to achieve.

The Defensive Pistol Skills class yesterday was great. I've had a LTC license for about 8 years but never carried because I did not feel adequately prepared, now I do.

Showing up and participating at less than 100% (I was ill) was certainly eyeopening, not to mention a blow to my ego. I assumed I would perform a lot better than I did. The notion that an attack may come when one is tired and weak took on new gravity yesterday. I know I have a long way to go before I can perform at the level I'd like, but your training has provided me the tools to get on the right path. You can definitely count on me being back at your facility for more. Thank you!

The LTC renewal class at Schaefer Academy last Saturday was fantastic and Tom was a great instructor. I found myself wishing that I had taken the initial class with Tom because the renewal class was so good. I will refer more students to KR in the future!

I have never taken a firearms class before, and was concerned that being in my mid 50's, I would be ``out of place`` in my ability to keep up and learn to shoot properly and safely. You and both of your instructors helped me to become a safer and more proficient shooter. All of you were very effective teachers- Even while correcting my errors, you all knew how to challenge me to perform better, and even encourage me. I appreciate that a lot!

I want to tell you how much I enjoyed the classes this weekend and that I learned more than I probably could process! As an instructor (voice/music) myself I was very impressed with how the class was taught, the constant and careful supervision at all times, and that each of the staff were personable, charming and fun! I know nothing yet about firearms and am working to remedy that, but no one made me feel stupid or disrespected when I made rookie and inexperienced mistakes. In all a terrific experience at your range!

I just went to the DPS LTC instructor school last week. Everything you taught about range safety and etiquette in all of the classes I've taken from you (BP 2, DP 1, and NRA Instructor) were exactly how they ran their range. All the details you made us pay attention to (keeping the gun up high and not belly height when loading, how to lay the gun ejection port up, etc, etc) all have become routine to me. Quite a few people on the shooting line had to be reminded of those things. Not me. In fact, one of the DPS instructors specifically came up to me at the end and said that he was impressed at my safe handling skills and that I had received good instruction.

Out on the range Saturday, two of my conference instructors asked me (and even some fellow students asked) why I wasn't in the Intermediate track. Even in the Simunition: Moving & Shooting class, the instructor asked me if I was a competitive shooter. They each mentioned my form, gun handling and accuracy. Since I've only ever been shooting 7 times prior to the conference (2 of which were in your classes), I was certainly not expecting such positive feedback but I absolutely attribute all of it to the 12 hours of instruction I received at your facility and the dry fire drills you sent me home with to practice. I told them when they asked that I was taught at KR Training. And when students talked about traveling out of town for simulation training, I mentioned your Force-on-Force classes. Just thought you'd like to know how much I appreciate the work you do and how effective it has been for me.

Karl Rehn has made KR Training a local Athens in terms of bringing in the best and the brightest, most experienced experts from across the broad range of the multi-dimensional threat management spectrum. Highly recommended.
